Mikael Eliasson
Dispatcher – Linehaul WestMikael was born and raised in Älmhult, the hometown of one of Sweden’s great pride – IKEA. It was also there that he started working in the transport and logistics industry. But before that, he also spent some time abroad in different countries.
– After high school, I moved to China with my family. When I moved back to Sweden, I started working at IKEA and then entered the transport and logistics industry, where I then continued my career in various companies. For 8 years, I have lived in Malmö and started working at Begoma in early 2021, says Mikael.
Even before he got the position as a dispatcher at Begoma, he had a lot of contact with the company. He worked for a company that made many bookings with Begoma.
– I always received excellent service and feedback from them, which I later implemented in my role here at Begoma, Mikael explains.
Mikael works with imports from Italy. His responsibilities are quotes, answering customer questions, making sure the hauliers are on the correct route and load the right goods, planning the routes to be as effective as possible, and that the cars get to their destination on time. One of the primary responsibilities of a dispatcher is to optimize transports according to customers’ wishes in the most cost-effective way possible.
– The most important thing for me is that our customers get their goods undamaged and on time, that our vehicles are optimally loaded and available to our customers in terms of prices and service, says Mikael.
Outside of work, Mikael is a true music lover and enjoys going to concerts.
– I have a great interest in music and have played in several bands (drums and vocals). I also take time to go for a ride with my motorbike as often as possible and spend time with family and friends.
