Erik Malmberg was born and raised in Malmö and has been connected to the transport industry since childhood. The desire to do business and create relationships between people began at an early age and after the Business program in high school, he has taken courses in sales, economics, and leadership.

– I also have a great interest in vehicles and have a degree in automotive engineering, truck driver’s license and a forklift license. I worked with vehicles, courier, removal, and crane firms in my younger days, says Erik. Today, he runs Begoma Spedition together with his brothers Henrik and Fredrik.

Erik started working at Begoma in 2011 when he came in as vehicle manager after the acquisition of Länna Transports in Stockholm.

– At that time, it was new for us to have our own trucks. We had many chats with the drivers about everything that happened with the trucks on the roads and the service they needed. I benefited from my knowledge in vehicles and received good help from my mentor at the Stockholm company.

Erik is an efficient, positive, and results-focused person, and as the company grew through more acquisitions, he gradually became responsible for scheduled transport and, a couple of years later head of all transport within Begoma. He is also part of the management team and a member of the board. The most rewarding part of the job is still doing business.

Erik lives in Malmö, together with his wife and two children. In addition to doing business, his main interests are hunting and riding his motorcycle.
