Before Edyta Barbis moved to Sweden, she was born in Krakow in southern Poland, where she lived until she was twelve. In high school, she studied trade and administration. Her professional career started in retail, followed by jobs in the pharmaceutical industry. Before joining Begoma, more than a decade ago, she worked for a couple of years at two other logistics companies. Her role at Begoma is as a freight forwarder and team leader for scheduled traffic/transport between Sweden and Poland.

– The transport group I lead consists of three forwarders at our head office in Malmö and another salesman based in Swinoujscie in Poland. What I enjoy the most about the job is that every day is eventful and filled with new challenges. It is important that you are stress-resistant, flexible and can juggle several tasks simultaneously, says Edyta, who describes herself as energetic, stubborn, and service-minded.

Edyta lives in Skurup in southern Skåne with her husband and their two adult children, both studying, and a dog. She enjoys being outdoors and likes to take long walks in the forest as well on the open plains and the beaches.

– I also enjoy dancing, good food and fine wines, and a zumba session from time to time, she adds.
