Begoma is a family-owned freight forwarder with a heritage from the 19th century with headquarters in Malmoe, Sweden. Begoma is currently represented with offices and subsidiaries in Sweden, Poland, the Netherlands and Czech Republic.
Begoma is expanding into the Ukrainian market with establishment of a branch office in Kyiv and will recruit a branch manager who can build the freight-forwarding business from ground up, including sales, recruitment of staff etc. The branch office will operate as a freight-forwarding agent for primarily international road and rail services, without any own transport capacity.
Job brief and organizational setup
The branch office will operate as an independent business unit. All staff will be locally employed in fully owned subsidiary. The branch manager will direct all operational aspects including staff management and day-to-day operations. The branch manager will report directly to group CEO.
- All operational aspects including human resources, customers, sub-contractors
- Assess local market conditions and identify prospective sales opportunities
- Find customers, corresponding hauliers, and sign contracts.
- Manage all staff and office issues
- Set goals for the business and follow up regularly
The branch manager we are looking for has several years of experience from the logistics industry, preferably as a freight forwarder and/or sales representative. You have an existing and extensive network, including both customers and logistics operators.
